Current position:
From Febr. 2009, I am the head of the department of Gastroenterology and the Endoscopic Unit.
I perform 120-150 endoscopies per month (50-60 gastroscopies, 40-50 colonoscopies, 20-30 operative ERCPs and 25-30 Endoscopic ultrasounds). On the endoscopy list there are therapeutic procedures too (polypectomy, mucosectomy, sclerotherapy and banding of oesophageal varices, oesophageal dilatation, papillotomy, biliary stone extraction, biliary and pancreatic stenting, EUS-FNAs).
Alongside my medical duties I am also responsible for the leading the department and the Endoscopic Unit.
I also participate in training of the registrars, residents (house officers) and medical students at our department.
I also participate in phase II-III pharmacology studies.
